Vans Retail Environments

Big graphics for real walls, coast to coast
VF Corporation brought us in to produce large-format graphics for Vans retail accounts across the country — window clings, wall murals, and billboard placements for independent skate shops carrying the brand. The work needed to flex across wildly different storefronts while staying unmistakably on-brand.
The hard part wasn't any single piece of art — it was consistency at scale. Coordinating 100's of retail accounts across 100's of locations meant every file had to be production-ready with zero back-and-forth, since there was no opportunity to proof on-site before install.
Every asset started from Vans' brand system and got built out for the physical constraints of each location — window dimensions, wall square footage, substrate type. Files were prepped print-ready for each format: vector artwork for vinyl cutting, high-res raster for wide-format print, color specs dialed for the actual print vendor rather than a screen.

Brand consistency, off the screen
Environmental graphics live or die on production accuracy — there's no responsive breakpoint to fall back on when a mural is printed 40 feet wide. The system built here let Vans' brand hold up identically whether it was a 3-foot window cling or a full billboard, without needing custom art direction for every single account.
Production-Ready File Prep
Every asset was built to spec for its output format from the start — vector for cut vinyl, color-corrected raster for wide-format print — eliminating proofing delays and print errors across dozens of simultaneous accounts
One System, Every Format
A single brand system flexed across windows, walls, and billboards without losing consistency — the same visual language reading correctly at 3 feet and at 40 feet.
